Saturday Night Live — The Exhibition tells the story of the late-night comedy sensation and pop cultural phenomenon that re-branded and transformed American television. The exhibition takes visitors through the show’s tight weekly schedule and 40-year history. Visitors get a behind-the-scenes glimpse and meet SNL’s key players, past and present, through a mix of artifacts, and theatrical scenic experiences.
The venue selected required a tremendous amount of design and construction before an exhibition could be installed.
The images below show the building's condition during the initial site visit. Due to the findings and the extreme renovation required, we solicited Gensler Architecture's expertise for our anticipated visitor flow and operational plans and how they would impact the building's structural integrity.
